Help Young People Get Active - Grants of Up to £50 Available
Families in North Somerset could receive up to £50 to help children and young people take part in sports and physical activities.
Better Health North Somerset is offering a Sport and Physical Activity Bursary Scheme to help families experiencing financial pressures cover some of the costs of keeping young people active.
What can the bursary pay for?
Grants of up to £50 can help towards:
- Sports kit and equipment
- Sports clubs, memberships and annual subscriptions
- Entry fees for sporting events and activities
Who can apply?
The scheme is available to children and young people who:
- Are aged 18 or under
- Live in North Somerset
- Come from a low-income household or a family experiencing financial pressures
Applications must be supported by a sponsor or referrer who knows the young person and understands their circumstances and goals.
