Ms Magee has sent home a letter and work pack for you to complete. The work is outlined below, but you can read the full letter here
Section 5 – Creative Writing
Mr Bruff is an English teacher who has produced lots of workbooks and online clips to help GCSE students do well.
- Watch the Mr Bruff video AQA English Language Paper 1 Question 5 and complete the activities. In your pack you have a paper copy of the section he is working on. Remember that the examples he gives are top grades. Steal good ideas but don’t be downhearted if your writing doesn’t match these
- There are other Mr Bruff clips (AQA English Language Paper 1 updated and animated) which you can also look at when you have completed the task above.
- When you have completed the activities I have also attached some famous portraits below for you to look at. Choose one of the portraits and write down a description of the person and/or their own thoughts.
- You could also try writing a description of the room you are in. Describe not only physical things but how they make you feel
